14 Dec 2014 Copenhagen, Denmark It was Sunday and it was the day Rebecca and Solveign sent me off to my hostel. And just like the day before, we walked. It was also the day I really felt like a serious backpacker because I was carrying a big backpack behind me and a small one in front of me. Pretty heavy stuff I had on my body and to walk 20 minutes with two heavy backpacks was not fun, at all.

When you stay with locals, they will offer to give a free general guided tour of their area. This was exactly what Solveign and Rebecca did on this day, except they are not from Copenhagen.
These two women, in their early 20s, are from Aarhus, the second largest city in Denmark. Solveign moved to Copenhagen to study nursing while Rebecca was just visiting – mainly to welcome me and explore the city together.
I finally arrived Denmark on Dec 12. Copenhagen is such a cosy city in the winter with friendly streets. So it is easy to get lost and easy find your way home. This is Copenhagen in a day, guided by my two Danes friends before I take the streets alone.
Received a picture from a dear friend. Copenhagen is now 6°C, mostly clouded at 7.54am.
A person who travels will always end up having a souvenir or more in hand. Whether it is a boarding pass, receipts, an article cut off from newspapers with language we do not understand, that cheap cowboy hat from one ‘Ahmad’ (or was his name Ali?), brochures, rocks, leaves, that ashtray you stole from a hotel room in South Korea, not forgetting that shower kits, key-chains, fridge magnets, or a piece of paper with a phone number and Skype username scribbled on it, and the list goes on.
